- Download and read a modern translation of the Bible on your iPod -
WEB-iBible is a simple program formatted for the iPod so that the average person can take a modern text translation of the Bible with them wherever they go. It enables the user to manually copy over books and chapters of the World English Bible over to the notes function of their iPod for text viewing.
The WEB-iBible is based on the soon to be completed World English Bible translation. The only freely distributed and non-copyrighted modern translation of the bible currently in circulation. I decided to embark on a project to create a much more user friendly iPod Bible after similar programs based on the KJV translation of the Bible became available, which are very useful despite their failings of relying on the antiquiated language of the KJV which to many is increasingly hard to understand and relate to.

A small update for the World English Bible was released on the official website dated 16 February 2006 (spelling and grammer changes mostly). I have updated WEB-iBible to reflect this change. The following books have been slightly altered, 1 kings, 1 Peter, 2 Chronicles, 2 kings, 2 Samuel, Dueteronomy, Ephesians, Isaiah, Malachi, Mark, Numbers.

I have finished fixing the context markers that my previous macro had removed. ie. Deuteronomy Chpt 1, verse 2 previously would read as: "It is eleven days' from Horeb". It now correctly reads as "It is eleven days' [journey] from Horeb"
Also fixed the file count list that has now slightly increased by 6 files. Please download the new file.

I realised that the script I was using had some errors in it, meaning that all of the square brackets used to explain context have been removed. Please bear with me whilst I go through the long task of fixing them. You are welcome to download the current version, but sadly in some parts it may be hard to understand.
